Default 94 Rear-end

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this but here goes. Will a 94 rear-end fit in a 91 LX difference in lenght?, mounting? Any help is appreciated

I think they are the same length. Only difference though, which I'm sure you know of, is the disc brakes! One thing you may not know is you should get the proportioning valve out of that 94 if you can because it's different with a rear disc brake setup versus a rear drum set up.

I think the 8.8's are the same all the way up to 1998...

Depends, 94-98 V6 cars have a 7.5" rear end, which you probably won't want to use. GT/Cobras have 8.8" but the axles are 3/4" longer than your current stock rear end. Aside from being wider, it should bolt right up, though you'll need to adapt the brake lines and change the proportioning valve to support the disc brakes. You'll also probably convert your front end to 5-lug as well. Here's a good source of info: http://mjbobbitt.home.comcast.net/mustang/5lug.html. Good Luck !

You don't want the proportioning valve from the 94, you'll want to get a new adjustable-type valve. Reason being, it's designed to proportion the brakes for the 94, not your car. Once you've modified the brakes on your 91 you'll need to adjust the valve to that the ratio of "grab" between front and rear brakes it optimal for your car. Probably best done by a pro. Check out that site I mentioned for more details, it's all there. Good luck !
