The funny thing is the noise I'm hearing no one else seems to hear with theirs and it started after about 5K miles. Before that it was quiet. It's very annoying. It mainly does it after everything is warmed up. It still kind of does it when it's cold but it's different. I hear it on acceleration then and the noise stays constant "SSSHHHHHHHHHH" until I let off. It's maddening.

I know they wouldn't just GIVE me one, I would lose money I know that. But I was thinking of just trying a tune and see how that goes. Everyone that tunes their tranny seems to really like it much better after that. But I wouldn't consider trading until next year when the 09's come out anyway (when they start having good deals on 08's). Maybe at that time I'll test drive an 08 just for grins and see what I think of it.

 

hmmm.. the sounds could be a number of things.. when i let my bro drive my car hard he said it sounded like i had a supercharger on it (It whistles) i think thats the sound of air being sucked in as fast as possible into the intake.. anytime i punch it i hear the whistling.. i'm wondering whether or not the sound will change when i switch to the jlt II + hmmm... who really makes better tunes for autos? i heard bama.. but maybe brensp33d? (Personally, id prefer to get brent's tune because he seems to offer a much larger line of products) let me know if anyone knows for certain if there is enough of a difference between the 2 to choose one..

 

If I get another 5 speed..I will be driving it like I stole it 24/7[:'(]

plus knowing the way I drive I would most likely get even more tickets or want to get on it every chance I get.I am not worried about performance being hurt with the stock auto tranny..from everything I have read,the intake and tune with a trq converter solves the sluggish problems.
I will miss winding up the engine and going through all the gears chirping the tire tires and all..
but that's the point..nothing but trouble!lol

at least with the auto I will be a little bit more civilized,plus not to mention they are so danged convenient.

for some reason,even with the sc kit and 480-490whp..I don't think I would get on it as much as I would with the 5 speed.dont know why.

Haha. I should have clarified this. If I had bought the car I would definitely have gotten a manual. I am not an idiot haha. I had no idea that I was going to get this car, I.E. someone gave it to me. And it's not about added speed or more efficiency or anything for me I just really love driving manual cars. That added control is just too nice. Thanks for all your opinions, though.
