I have bbk lt's and the bbk o/r x-pipe for eight months now. I've never had any problems with them or getting those dreaded o2 slow response codes. I had doug adjust the o2 transport delay feature in the updated tune file he sent specifically for the bbk lt's. Lt's headers usually relocates the front o2 sensors further downstream in the exhaust and this takes them a little longer to heat up and start responding to the pcm, this is why those o2 slow response codes will pop up from time to time. I did all my research about this minor issue before buying my lt's eight months ago and doug knew exactly how to adjust the o2 transport delay in the tune. Most tuners will know how to adjust your tune for longtube headers.

ok some of you are not listening. I am not saying there is anything wrong with the BBk system.....the fact you have had it for 8 months doesnt apply to what I said. I said there are RECENT design changes...as in within the last month to two months....that are causing the codes. If you dont want to believe me then call Brenspeed or BBK themselves. ALthough it is true, on the past design (like yours) of BBK and other brands, you could tune the code out, but now you can not. Only way to do it is to turn it totally off so either way you are screwed on emissions as they willeither see you turne dit off or that they are flashing a code, and they wont care why, they will just fail you.

OK so this might be a bit off topic but i'm wanting to know if you guys have any idea how to make my care sound a certain way. I love my Mustang but I'm wanting a different sound for it. Something like a lamborghini. I know just short of dropping $400,000 and getting one. What can I do to get a sound like that? I know it's hopeful :P

What you want is a catted x-pipe. An x-pipe makes the exhaust louder and higher pitched.

There are lots of muffler choices out there. I'd say get Corsas. They aren't real deep, but they scream at WOT. Plus, bullet design mufflers (shaped like a can and you can see straight through them) generally sound better with x-pipes than chambered (traditional looking) mufflers do.

Other bullet style mufflers are FRPP Stingers (deep, mellow, loud, drone a lot), Bassani's (like Stingers, but not quite as loud and less drone), and Magnaflow Magnapack (similar to Bassani).....and maybe Boomtubes which I've not seen in person.

Check youtube for "mustang x-pipe" and look for clips with these mufflers in them.
