Default Sequential FI

What was the year the Mustang went sequential? I would like to go sequential on my 87 and would like to see if a factory computer would work. The guy at my tuner shop said I would need a 96 computer and harness but I forgot to ask if that one was sequential or not. I would really like to laptop my car and break some parts. I am aware of the aftermarket stuff like Accel' and Fast I sell them but would like the project and learning curve....
Thanks Art

Sequential fuel injection, as opposed to batch and bank fired. Let me know if I need to explain further. Sequential fuel injection has good advantages at low and part throttle driving. It's not any better above 4000 rpm from what I hear from the drag race guy's. My car is being built to play with. Drag, auto cross and any track days I can afford. It's not a daily driver but is street legal and has plates.
