Default Saleen iat gauge issues

Having problems making this work. We have the sensor on the drier side manifold. It is new. We have a 2 wire pigtail that goes to the grey and grey red wire of the maf. Which wire do I splice into for the gauge to read? The grey wire which is supposedly "hot" from the ecu or the grey red wire which is supposedly ecu return line. Thanks.

I know saleen has a 3 wire pigtail but we rent using it because it's jacked somehow. Saleen said we can just splice the gauge wire in....makes sense. Just which wire to splice into?

Also I was told it doesn't matter where grey and grey/red go on regards to the iat sensor because it cam read from both poles. Is this correct?

I think the owner of that jacked up car should just go buy a 2011 GT500... :-)
