This is why I advocate catch cans for ALL S197s (not just forced induction cars). The PCV system sucks (no pun intended).

After seeing my TB and the thin layer of deposits that is making it into the supercharger I'm thinking about doing one on the passenger side. Which I had read was typically unnecessary since with an FI setup most of the blowby goes through the driver side. Unfortunately it's pretty tough to fit anything in over on the passenger side with a KB. Very busy on that side of the bay.

What seems odd to me is that KB doesn't include or recommend a separator. I wonder what the other blower manufacturers have to say about it.

I have one on the drivers side and it does collect quite a bit. The TB was replaced with the SC kit, haven't looked yet but I'd say it doesn't have 1,00 miles on it yet. That being said I like to pull my TB 1 to 2 times a year depending on mileage and I empty the separator every now and then just to keep it empty.

I thought the Mustang's PCV system was one-way, as in with checkvalves. I heard the driver's side is "out" only, and the passenger's side is "in". I could be wrong though...

I can confirm (at least for an '08) that there are check valves in place in the stock system. They just don't seal perfectly.

Haha, that makes sense.
