Any Ideas on expanding CFM of Kenne Bell 2.6LC Intake Plenum to 1300cfm
#21
Definitely worth it. It allows you to utilize the 2.6 to its full potential.
Kenne Bell even told me the intake plenum is the restriction on the 2.6 up to the point of max rpms.
If I was building the car with an extra 3 or 4k i would sell my 2.6 and get a mammoth, but for my goals, this will work great.
I still think something can be done with cooling off the bypassed air, but that is only a benefit if you sit in traffic a lot idling.

Hi. I actually saw your write up about the blow by racing plate. I bought all new bolts from boltdepot.com because socket heads tend to strip easy.
Thank you for your offer in the bolts.
I used a 7 nozzle in the plate and a 4 nozzle right before the throttle body.
My afr went from 11.3 to 10.7, but my iat didnt change at all.

Nice work! I'm curious as to the results you see.
I too am using a 4" pipe now for the intake, through the big kb monoblade TB, and BBR methanol plate under the blower. (if you need longer bolts for securing to the blower, I have an extra set). Using the larger inlet pipe caused a change in my afr/air flow characteristics as well. IATs, however, have remained high. Hence, now using methanol to help keep them down under WOT.
With the 1" change in height from the methanol plate, the room behind and above the blower changes quite a bit, and with a stock hood, I'm not sure it'd still fit.
There's have been similar projects documented on s197forum.com, including some custom plenums. Nonetheless, I'd like to see such modified intakes and how well they work and help.
