Question Dripping Noise after shutoff?

I have a 2008 GT. It hasn't been driven for a few months but I took it out today. When I got back there was a dripping noise coming from the engine. No AC on so it wasn't that. Sounded almost like oil dripping. I stopped after several minutes so I took it for a quick spin to see if it would happen again. Yup the same dripping noise. This time I open up the oil cap and it sounded very much like it was coming from inside. I'd never heard or at least never noticed this before. I'm worried this isn't normal. Any comments or suggestions?

+1 on the cats or some other engine component cooling off with dissimilar metals contracting at different rates.
