Default Engine Builder in SoCal

Just looking to see if anyone can recommend an engine builder in SoCal. I'd prefer someone with experience in the 4.6 3v. My '05 GT now has 250k miles and gives me a puff of blue smoke with almost every startup. Pretty sure it is coming from cylinder 2 because that plug keeps fouling. I'm looking for a shop that can build it right, with quality bottom end components so I can give it a little more boost (I've got the Edelbrock E-Force on it). I just need an engine shop. I'll pull it out and and reinstall it. Actually, it still runs great, and still runs strong. I'm just planning for the inevitable and want to built it sooner rather than later.
Thanks - Rick

I believe JMS is down there. As for quality im not sure but you could always search on the forums about their reputation and read reviews. I have heard of them before in the community. Unfortunately with the times of social media forum traffic is at a crawl

Thanks. I've actually used JMS before. They did the engine in my '63 continental a decade ago. Great shop and reasonable prices. I'll be reaching out to them to see what they say, but I was hoping to find someone that has specific experience in the 4.6.

I have an '05 GT with all of 97k. In California it lived on Amsoil Oil and here in NC on Red Line. I have been also using "Tufoil.com" as an additive since the 80's when I had a BMW that spent a lot of time being driven hard in the Santa Cruz Mountains and the Sierra. My suspension and engine had serious upgrades to handle the mountain roads. I used up 30 sets of tires 270k miles the CA SMOG inspectors finally caught up with my mods and my "contact" was gone. Drives to Tahoe were heaps of fun. For your current issue it might be worthwhile to check out this pictured product. I was told about by a shade tree mechanic here in NC with magic fingers. I've used it twice here. He claims it cleans the top end and he uses it in own rides. I got if from Amazon.
