Question Transmission Questions

I have a 1985 N/A 2.3 mustang hatch. with the various upgrades i have the clutch in my factory trans is slipping horribly, apparently they are not meant to handle having the head shaved .162" and roller rockers and a decent cam put in. I also have the weak 4 speed. So my question is what are the differences between the 5 speed and 4 speed transmissions, will they interchange easily? help is appreciated.

More gears, better lubrication, OD, more durability?

well i have a t5 in my 84 2.3t, i didnt really take much of a look at the old 2.3 carb engine i pulled out but if the t5 bell housing bolts on then engine the only concern id have is with the clutch (input shaft may have a different number of splines) and driveshaft (may be different length) oh and you may need to cut a small section out of the area the shifter enters the passanger area so you can shift to 2, 4 and reverse. just be sure to test fit it first. and you may need a t5 trans crossmember.
