probaly both cause if it has been repainted they have a tool that they can figure out what paint color it is.

If you are talking about the Dupli-Color paint. I have used it on My Yukon when I put bumper covers on the front and rear and it looks really good. For what you say you need to paint it will work great.

the single stage is the kind of paint that they used in the past actually the single stage might match old paint better because the gloss is not as high as a base/clear paint job
