Hey I finally got another mustang! I just picked up a 1993 LX Notch 4 cyl auto that needs a motor and bodywork here and there. It has 58 thousand miles on it and has ac. Since the girl didnt know anything about mustangs in general she goes i dunno what its worth, how about you give me 250 for it and give the snow tires back....DEAL ahh i love it! It has no rust on it but somewhere down the road she hit something with the hood and put a dent in it and somebody put BLUE GT cheesegrater tail lights in it. What i want to know is how much is involved to put a carbd 302 in it? and the tranny in it isnt the aod that goes Park Reverse Neutral OD D 1 it goes Park Reverse Neutral OD D 2 1. Is this a rare tranny or is it just a newer weaker aod? thanks in advance!

are sure on the shifter indicator? 4cylinders do not have the same tranny as an aod anyways...but i assumed the indicator would be the same.

i think the 4 cyl. auto is a4ld

weaker yet than the aod.

but if your going carb'd....thats ez swap. if you need auto, go c4...if not do whatever you desire...t5 is great , and brand new crate t5z is only about $1100 delivered

sounds like you got a steal...i'm on my 3rd notch , and almost was gonna go the conversion route...just couldn't find a clean one worth the price.

anyways...congrats , and as for the cosmetics....50resto has cheap tails, and sounds like a great excuse for a new cowl hood

yep the 4cyl tranny is pretty weak.

prob need to swap to a c4 or aod. or go manual...

8.8 rearend would help too

i have the 8.8 but if i put a c 4 in it i will need a custom cut driveshaft wouldnt i?
