I need to replace the break light on my 91 GT Convertible. This is the light mounted on the trunk. There are two visible screws, however, when I remove them the light will not come out of the housing. I do not want to pry on it to much.

do you need to replace the light fixture or just the bulb?

Just the bulbs. I have pulled hard on the shell inside the housing but it feels like there may be another bolt but I can only find 2.

I can't find my workshop manual right now, so I can't look for sure. Does it look like the lens comes off and the bulb will come out after that or is it the whole unit and the bulb comes out of the back? See if you can see anything from the uderside of the trunk lid too.

I think the hole unit and the bulb come out of the back. Underside of the trunk lid has a rubber bushing and if I take that out and tug a little it has a little slack and than will not budge.
