My 97 gmc sierra handles better then my 86. Now with the new bushings I'm putting in my 86 right now it might handle better after that.

No they did'nt, the Vette had (and still has) IRS, the Iroc has a solid axel with a PHR/three link set up.

thats aweful harsh man...i think they handle alot better than the fox myself. foxes handle for s***, and the power was the same. how can you say they are not a true 5.0? try telling someone who owns one that.

94 and 95 wasnt mustang best year for handling or speed
not a "true" 5.0 in my book.

Camaro definatley. I had a 94 z28, and it handled awesome. It sat lower, wider body, better stock suspension, tighter steering. I have now, a 94 mustang gt and the handling pretty much sucks. I havent yet ugraded my suspension or lowered my car, but as soon as i do, im sure it will be awesome. I dont know what it is about fords, but they have a lot of play in they're steering. If i even touched the steering on my camaro, the car would respond instantly.

well i'm gonna' have to step out on a limb here and say that personally out of the box i think Fox bodies SUCK at handling. maybe i've been spoiled by my previous euro-trash rides and my past days of rwd/awd japanese cars .... but yeah ... i think my mustang sucks as compared to them.

however, i will say that there are tons of potential in them. especially with companies like kenny-brown, MM, and griggs. with the MM road and track kit, R&T mag. pulled the 3rd fastest salom ever. and the kb and griggs stuff will easily pull you over .90 G's ... so there is potential, but you have to play around with the factory geometry and setup.

Well, I must be at a huge disadvantage because I have owned a 1995 convertible Z28, and a 2001 vette for that matter. All I have now is a non true 1995 GT 5.0

The convertible Z28 had a better stock suspension, but I still upgraded to the SLP suspension that came stock on the SS's. The vette suspension rocked, but I still thought about upgrading (never did because of the expense).

Now I have a cheap '95 5.0 that although doesn't handle as well as either Chevy, WILL do so for far way less money spent. My 5.0 is about $40,000 less than my '01 Vette was. I can buy alot of suspension parts for that

Performance cars were meant to be upgraded, that's 1/2 the fun. (Sorry this got off subject, so yeah I would think a 3rd generation f-body would handle better than a stock Fox).

Hi everyone. I'm new here-proud new owner of an 89 5.0 LX hatch 5sp (beautiful, untouched, virgin only 70,000 original miles). Also in my driveway are an 89 Camaro RS (305TBI) and an 87 Trans Am GTA (350 TPI). The GMs out handle the Fox hands down. The GTAs and IROCs had a quicker ratio steering gear and larger anti-roll bars than the RS so they seem to be a little more sporty. Either way the F body GMs handle considerably better but the ride is much more harsh. All of my cars are stock except for exhaust-the Muskrat is definetly the quickest and my new favorite. I plan to upgrade the suspension and brakes on the 5.0 very soon, hopefully it will then be on par with the GMs.
