yeah if you have about 400hp and slicks that one good way to do it, saw a camaro do that at the track and the brake drum chased my buddies car and almost hit it at about the 200ft mark, was classic

i really wouldn't worry about it, i have heard that if you do a five lug conversion you have to use spacers if you don't upgrade to 94 and newer spindles, i guess if you running stock 5 lug mustang wheels, that is just what i have heard

^ this is because the grease cap. you cant fit the rims with the center caps unless you use spacers. i have a five lug conversion and i have to run spacers with my new 03 cora rims.

1/2 inch spacer, I think I went to throw on some 5/16 spacers and when I did, my tire hit the fender (18x9's) with 245... So I am not sure if that is a good choice, maybe it will work for you, but man did I take them off in a heart beat, never even took em to the street becuase I just turned car on and swiveled my tire = bad news. Sticks the tire out further so it has a longer swing if you think about it..

I think you will be fine if you use them... My buddy had a 98' Ford Ranger with 20" wheels and he had spacers,
he never had problems except make sure the spacers you got are completly flat, because my buddy got some crappy ones that
werent completly flush and they made his wheels feel hella out of balance but when he got new ones they worked great!
I also had them on my lifted Toyota and i never had problems... i had 35" tires too...
