Default Edelbrock RPM vs AFR's

Just wondering... how would you compare a set of Edelbrock Performer RPM heads against a set of AFR's for a 302? Is there that much of a difference in powergain between the two, quality, etc. etc. etc. Please lend any information you have... I wanted to get a set of AFR's but I came across a good deal on a set of Edelbrocks.... thats why I am asking.

Depends on how good the deal is. I beleive the differance is a lot, something around 30hp differance. just remember afr's are about 1300

I could find 30+hp in a set of afr's vs edel's but hw much are the edels would be the determining factor. Edelbrock is like the jack of all trades compnay, by no means are they a hardcore racing development company. They put out a zillion products that are good, small specialized compnaies put out very few products, but they are great.

numbers talk

check out the different flow numbers, AFR's have the best, but cost the most.
per dollar spent vs. hp gained they are very comparable.
