how safe is it to put this supercharger kit on a stock motor? is it ok to do that? or would it have to have some other work done first? and if so, what?

It's just as safe as any other blower. With the stock pulley it will make ~10psi which is about the same as the S trim or P1SC. It will just have a more potential though. Just make sure your fuel system will handle it.
