Stuck O2 sensor.

Stuck O2 sensor.
There is a new one for you guys. I have been trying to replace my O2 sensors and I was only able to take one of them off. The other one is not cooperating. i think that it is rusted shut. I had tried sockets and channel locks and it wont move. I dont want to damage it anymore than I have already. it still kind of works. Any ideas on what else to use. The nut is stripped already from me trying to force it out. Would a torch help? I have tried that. Any ideas?

RE: Stuck O2 sensor.
if you've rounded off the corners on the sensor, then get a cold chisel and a hammer. hold the chisel up against the nut and hit the chisel with the hammer to drive the nut counterclockwise to loosen it. once this breaks it loose, you can probably use the channel locks to get it out the rest of the way. put some never seize compound on the threads before you reinstall it so this doesn't happen again and it will be easier to remove next time. if you don't like the hammer and chisel method, you could try a large size pipe wrench since you've already ruined the flats on the nut portion of the sensor anyway.

RE: Stuck O2 sensor.
I got your solution right here. Mine had the same problem when I put my new X-pipe in. Get a monkey wrench, like what you use for pipes. They work great, grabs right on and doesn't let go, they broke loose real well, plus if you're not replacing them with new ones you can use it to put them back in too. If you figure the wrench is made to grip things that are supposed to be round they work great on that.
