Default 1994 Mustang GT Add Horsepower

I just recently bought this car and must say that im pretty pleased. The whole thing is pretty much stock and im looking to improve the horsepower that it puts out. I was looking at the recommended kit at fordracing.com, um heres the link i think http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...5.0L%20Mustang, and i was wondering if thats what i should go with. Also i was wondering about whether equal length headers or unequal lenth headers, which is what the site recommends, would be better. Another part recommended is the aluminum cylinder heads which i was also thinking about getting. If you have any advice it would be great. Thanks.

Go look at ebay. Proffesional products makes some nice Throttle bodies and stuff. You may want to get some upper and lower control arms on the car. That helps a lot with traction which is what mustangs dont have. Also look into some 3.73 gears for the rear differential. That will make you a little happier. If anything just do that along with a cold air intake some under drive pullies, throttle body, larger MAF, and a good tune up on the ignition and filters.

if you are really serious about making any kind of real power n/a then dont look at any of the ford racing CRAP

go with a good name brand set of heads like AFR's, TFS twisted wedge, RHS 180's
go with a edelbroke performer rpm2 intake, get a good dual pattern cam.. possibly a custom grind.
long tube headers, X pipe and a exhaust of your liking... everyone will tell you to get flowmasters... but think of this...

Mustangs are a common car... Please stand out!

this kit has been discussed on here many times.... it puts out 350 crank horsepower with a 9.5:1 CR on a 306.... that suck IMHO.. however carcraft proved that a stock 302 can put out 400crank HP with AFR165cc heads.... id rather go with the afr's

The Ford racing supercharger kit is cheaper than all of that and gets you up into the 300's for HP.
I have the 6psi kit and a really open exhaust (but street legal) and am somewhere around the 330-340 HP range.

AFR DYNO TEST

Fordmuscle.com did a test on a 93 cobra with exhaust, TB, MAF and a little intake manifold port work.. and teamed it up with a set of AFR165cc heads...

303hp and 341 tq is quite respectable for "@ the wheels" numbers... dont you think??!

why go to all that cost here are a few thing that are cheap and will help
1. under drive pulleys
2. 373 gear
3. lighter wheels
4. sythedic oils
5. timing to 12 degrees
6. lighten up the car
7. set of used headers..unequal will do fine
8. 2.5" exhaust
9. switch over to a A9P 'puter from a fox.....those 94-95 'puter are a nitemare
10. drag radials
11. 76 mm maf
12. 1.7 rockers

just a few things
I go with suppension mods after that

i've seen so many cars make good power but be slow as hell because they have crap *** suspensions.... thats why i upgraded mine as the first step
