Im running 14* with 85 octane. Does altitude affect when your car will start pinging?
yes, higher altitude less air pressure, less air in the cylinder and finally less compressed air totall
picture this, at sea level our cars are at 14.7 psi of boost for example, go up into the mountains now say 13.7 psi, less air/compression so lower octane is needed
