Default Heads or SC?

I was wondering if i should get some Edelbrock heads or Vortech V-1 SC-Trim SC? If i got the heads...would i have to pay a mechanic to put them in...i'm ok with working on my engine...i put in my Intake by my self...would i be able to put in heads? and is this SC easy to install?

installing a set of heads is an intermediate job imho...... turbo/sc kits come with all lot of stuff so you might need a bit of help with that...but get the heads done first and work your way up.... if you go straight up to a SC you will miss a lot of stuff in between.... and have to do some tedious work over again....

I've Never Installed A Supercharger But I'm Very Sure That I Could Do It. I Can't Give A Lot Of Advice There Other Than To Just Get Right In The Middle Of It And Figure It Out. On The Other Hand, If You Were Ok With Installing Your Intake I Don't See Any Reason That You Couldn't Put On A Set Of Heads. The Most Important Thing About Putting On A Set Of Heads Is Torquing Them Down Right. I Would Think That A Supercharger Would Give You A Lot More Power Than The Heads, But It Should For Being Right At About Twice As Much.

eh with stock heads it wont breathe very well at all, you will be forcing more air in but whats the point if you don't have high flowing cylinder heads

Because when you force air into the clyinder chamber under pressure, it goes out as well, not only through the differences in pressures and the ideal gas law, but also because during overlap, there's a fresh boost of air to kick out the remaining exhaust gases before the exhaust valve shuts and the cycle starts over again.

Will it be the same as if he had a set of $3K heads on? Hell no. But, 40-60 hp for a set of really nice heads+bolt ons, or 150 easily for $3K with a turbo kit.

The choice is yours.

hey thanx alot for the advise...Ok....i think im going to go for the heads...now you'd think that with my Edelbrock intake i'd probably be better off getting Edelbrock heads right?....or should i save a little extra and get AFR 165's?...these are the two that i'm stuck between, unless theres another brand out there that might be better...
