Default Alternator Bracket.

Does anyone know if the alternator bracket from a 87-93 5.0LX or gt is the same or will work with an 79 - '85 serp belt setup? Crazy enough my alternator bracket in my ranger snapped, shot the alternator in to the damn radiator (like the 4th one Ive put in), I need to haul some stuff, so I need to fix it.

Yeah me either, I was rollin along in my truck, then I noticed my power steering was kinda intermittent. I stop and check it out, the alternator still had the belt onit except it was halfway through the side tank of the radiator, and kinda tilted at a 45* angle. One thing after another with this damn truck. Hey could you post a close up pic of your alt. bracket? I could probably tell just from lookin at it.
