Default Converting to MAF

OK so I have an air/fuel ratio problem and was told I must convert to MAF, because im running a s/c. Can any one give me any info about this kit I found on www.jegs.com here is the link http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...tegoryId=20813 . It says I dont need to splice any wires it just plugs in. I dont really know what to do because my mechanic said that he is having troble reading the codes of my computer. So I was going to get a new computer, MAF sensor, and new wirein harness from summit but the kit is 500. Im broke rigth now and would like my car running good again, for as little money as possible. Basicly im not sure what I should dol; buy the kit from jegs and not get a new computer, or get the kit on summit. Thanks for any help. If any one is looking to sell a computer from an 89 and up let me know.
