tried propane. unfortunatly, it doesn't get hot enough (in my experience) i had to use acetlyene. gotta be careful not to melt the aluminum though. antiseze is absolutly necessary. another good idea is to use some penetrating oil and a 5/16 coarse tap to thoroughly clean out the holes before you put the new pump on. (have to get the old one off though)
