I was just wondering what you all think was the best way of going about swapping out an AOD tranny with a 5 spd manual tranny. Or do you think it would just be better to buy a new manual car? Give me ideas, prices, and places i could buy new or used manual trannies and everything else i would need to perform the swap.

The way to go is find a parts car, I found one for 300 (got really lucky) and got all the parts needed. IT is lasbor intensive, but if you know your way around a stang its not overally difficult, if you have questions about how just ask.

Pretty good page, and gives an idea on what work your lookin at.....
Alot of places sell kits that have everything included that aren't too badly priced... If you have someone do the installation for you have fun with the labor costs lol

My car is a 1990, is all the info you gave me good for that year?

Unless you've got another car while your stang is down I'd probably just look at getting another one, unless you're really attatched to this one or something.
