you can also take rwhp and multiply it by 1.18 to get the fly wheel HP

... if it was 15%, then you'd multiply it by 1.15

nice to see that i was at least in the ballpark lol i figured i was off at the crank though
ORIGINAL: mrbigshot

rearwheel hp / .82 = crank (aprox) 233/.82= 284 crank hp

crank hp x .18 will give you how much the drive line is taking. subtract that from the crank hp and you will know rwhp



284 crank hp x .18 (18% loss) = 51.12 284-51=233 rwhp

I think if you have an automatic trans, you should figure 20% loss in drivetrain.....
