Default Small backfire

I just got a chip custom burnt for my mods and the car runs great. But, when I'm in somewhat high rev say, 4,500, when I go to shift I get a small backfire. It sounds like it's coming from the headers and not at the end of the exhaust. I don't know if the chip is related. I'm thinking exhaust leak any other suggestions?

Thanks

When My car is cold, and on the downfire, the small time between shifts, it sort of pops, though at the tail pipes. It's probably just un burnt fuel since you just let off at higher RPM, no biggy.

unhook your battery, take the chip out, hook battery back up, see if it still does it
