I have had 2 belts squeak and i cant get rid of it! i tried the spray but it only worked for a few minutes and then the squeak was back. its a brand new serpentine belt on alum. pullys...I heard of soaking a belt but what do you soak it in?

Have you tried replacing the tensioner. The spring in the tensioner is problably worn.

its a march screw tentioner so there is no spring. i think the belt sticks to the alum. so i need to contion the belt somehow?

same thing happened to me i repalced sprayed did everything and then i replaced the throwout bearing on the clutch and that was the problem could push on the clutch alittle bit and if it stops theres your problem

Take the smooth sided pullies and take some fine scotch brite and scuff them some. I did this with mine and it stopped the squeeking sound. Like if the water pump pully isnt a ribbed pully, but a smooth pully. Just take it and scuff it up some.


How much can you move the belt up and down? You sure you got the tightest fitting belt for your set up?
