what's the difference between a Long block and a shortblock. I just realized I never really knew the difference as it does not come up very often.

long block is oil pan up to the lower intake..short block is just blokc and internals with timing chain

basically a long block is a block with heads. A shortblock is just a block with internals.

lol, i didnt know intill we decided to do the engine swap in the 69 (about march), so dont feel dumb, if you have a question, ask it, theyre not always common knowledge, like, i didnt know what vert ment until 2 days ago (in case you dont know, convertable). so yeah just ask. We wont be mean unless your asking something umb like where the wheels are.
