Just got my AFR 165's.. now what?
ok, i just bought by AFR 165's and had a couple questins. I plan on using the e-303 cam and was wondering what size roller rockers to use. On an 88HO motor would they be pedestal mount? what is the stock stud size of the rockers? I have aslo heard that the e cam is no good if you have more then .500 of lift. So with my AFR's and say a 1.7 rockers would i be ok? Just getting all my facts right before i buy my cam. Gunna have motor built in about 2 mnths so i need to get my parts right. thanks for any help in advance.

well in my opinion I wouldn't use any of those abc cams..you need a dual pattern cam with more lift on the exhaust..the crane cam with 512-527 would be about all the cam those heads could work with this cam uses the 1.6 to get that lift ....the head you bought determins what rocker to use like stock type or stud type....also the stock intake does not work well with these heads so if you haven't bought one the gt-40 work really well as does a TF intake or even the proffessional products one

cool.. the thing is that i live in Cali so the smog laws once again hold back my options. I have heard that the e cam is just about the most cam i can have and still be smog legal. do u think i will have to go with a custom cam? i was thinking maybe a stage 1 trick flow cam but am not sure if this will be be smog compliant. so i figure 1.6 rockers w/ a pro products intake and a dual pattern cam. is there a crane cam that is similar to the e-cam emisions wise but would give me the exhuast lft i need?
