Default new heads, ya or no?

on a 193k mile motor that runs great, has good oil pressure and compression still. would new heads ruin it cause the valves seal so good that it would suck oil thru the rings? or what will happen? ive had a few people tell me its not a good idea. what do you all think?

Don't bother, i wouldn't anyway the motor's on its last run anyway. Putting that much more power to an old motor will stress it and possibly break it, and in turn, just possibly messing up your new heads. Wait for it the blow, or re-build it then do the heads.

^ have to agree with liquid because of the high mileage, even if its been miles under care and fluid changes, etc, around 200,000 your best to just be happy with each mile thereafter, and of course there will be a bunch of guys who will say i have way over that and i have yadda yadda yad, and thats great but, wait til the motor pops and do a complete short block remachine/rebuild, and then build a top end with specific goals in mind, a h/c/i combo will be much more effective. good luck either way

dude what are you waitin for, take that engine out, ONE AT A TIME, put in fresh ROD AND CRAN BEARINGS, and rings, and timings cover chain and sprockets, maybe a bigger cam, $300 parts

then your heads

my engine had over 340,000 miles on it before we rebuilt it, MY MISTAKE didnt put all the parts back in THIER LOCATION they came from and the motor lasted 2 years.
