Default maf?

im looking to buy a bbk cai for my 86 gt and on the summit website it says i may need an adapter if my car is not mass air.... well how do i know if it is mass air?

im not sure but i think its only '89 and newer that have mass air. but dont take my word for it.

well i think ur right that 89 and newer are maf but..... u just look at the air intake tube and c if there is some kind of seonor in the middle of the air tubing, also take ur airbox off and in the fenderwell there will be a black thing, take this out and u will get a noticeable hp increase, hopw this helps
