Yet another idle problem

Yet another idle problem
I have a stock carb 302, and since today it has idle'd very low before dying. We tried adjusting all the screws needed on teh carb, and it still idles just as rough, maybe slightly better, and then dies again. While we were doing this, though, we noticed gas leaking from the bottom of the carburator. So my question is, the car has never ran like this before, and with the gas leaking from where it is, could it just be that the gasket needs replacing, or is there something else that could possibly be wrong with the car?

Rebuild the card or throw a nicer one on there.
