You will need a bellhousing to match it up. I have a TKO500 and I belive it uses an old top-loaded bellhousing, but I bought a new one. I think you MIGHT be able to use a bellhousing from one of the old SROD 4-speed early 80's 5.0's but double check me on that before you $$$.

Do you powershift? How much rwtq do you have? Do you run slicks? If the answer to that is "yes" or "over 300" or "yes" then you need a TR3550,TKO500,Toploader,T56. The TR3550 and Toploader are the cheaper bets, the T56 is all out and GREAT for a DD, but not geared well for drag racing (2.66 first), and the TKO500 is just HELLA STOUT and has OD, the TR3550 is not as strong as any of the others mentioned.

If this is a strip only car it wouldn't matter, he needs to clarify, if its strip only...Stalled C4 with a tranny-brake and cooler and never look back.
