GT40 Heads for a Fox Body
I'm looking to buy a set of GT40 heads, and I want to know if it would be a good idea. I hadve heard good things but I don't know. I also want to do a Trick flow stage 1 cam, and maybe some roller rockers. I pretty much just want to get some idea's for my car.
P.S
This is a little off topic, but my dad put the SLP loudmouths on his 05 GT, and I definatlly thinking of buying them. Are they to loud? Do they sound good on my car? And where can I find some sound clips. Thank you very much

RE: GT40 Heads for a Fox Body
GT-40 Heads are a decent head if your on a budget. If you have some cash to throw around I would recommend looking into a nice set of aluminum heads.
Also, SLP's sound great IMO on 5.0's. I am running SLP LM1's on my car and there are also a few other people on here running them. Alot of people back away because of the price but IMO they were worth every single penny. You can go with LM1's or LM2's. 1's with an O/R mid pipe are usually too loud for most peoples liking but I am going to go with an OR. It depends on how loud you really want it to be. My recommendation is LM 2's with O/R pipe or LM 1's with catted mid pipe. Here is my 93 GT idling. Stock headers, stock mid pipe, SLP LM1's.

Those Snypers look sick on that car. Nice! Bang for the buck, the GT40s are a nice performing head.

RE: GT40 Heads for a Fox Body
If you wanna got the gt-40 route i'd get the P's, they outflow the 40's. You just have to upgrade the springs, they are only rated good for up to .500 lift, but with a stage one you'll be at .498/.510, so you could even prolly get away with using the stock P springs. Good choice ont he cam too . Check out ebay for heads, you can get them for pretty cheap, especially 40's and P's. But you can even run into good deals on aluminum heads, used ofcourse, but i'm sure they'll still be fine. Good luck
