Default Oil pressure problem HELP

So my dad bought a 94 vert a while ago and it has 72k on the clock, nice ride. Yesterday we drove out to my grandpa's farm and the oil pressure was just fine, but on the way home the guage went a little bit below the N in NORMAL from the R that it usually is at. It has stayed there ever since when we start the car up. Oil level is just fine, I'm wondering what the problem is if any, bad relays or oil pump or what? What would cause a drop if oil isn't leaking and car is bone stock.

That's hard to answer. best suggestion I have is to get a mechanical oil pressure gauge and install it in place of the stock unit and see what the actual oil pressure is at idle and at higher rpms. you could also get a shop with a gauge to measure it for you but you could probably buy the gauge for about the money the shop will charge you to do it for you.

how do you get a manual oil pressure guage into the cabin without drilling through the firewall?

you can run the small plastic tube through the same hole where the speedo cable passes through the firewall, there's plenty of room and give in the rubber grommet around this hole.
