It's pretty straight forward, just make sure you have the fittings and tools you will need.

i have all of the fittings, i mocked it up to make sure when i got it all. do i need to use teflon tape on the joints or some sort of seeling compound? I have never used a line lock on a car before, is it possible to literaly smoke a pair of tires until you pop them with it installed? My buddie told me its possible.

no you wont need any tape or anything, that's what the flared ends are for.

If you have the proper fittings you really shouldn't need any tape except maybe on the pipe threads that go into the lock itself. It should lock your front brakes as long as you like. If you start to hook it will push the car, if not it may start to drift sideway but theoretically yes you could.
