installing line lock in my 1985 mustang gt....
i just recieved the line lock and instalation kit from hurst, is there any special precautions or things i need to watch for when iam installing it? i'am really looking forward to getting this installed and working, i think it will be a blast on the strip and just the ocasional rubber burning fun on the street.

i have all of the fittings, i mocked it up to make sure when i got it all. do i need to use teflon tape on the joints or some sort of seeling compound? I have never used a line lock on a car before, is it possible to literaly smoke a pair of tires until you pop them with it installed? My buddie told me its possible.

If you have the proper fittings you really shouldn't need any tape except maybe on the pipe threads that go into the lock itself. It should lock your front brakes as long as you like. If you start to hook it will push the car, if not it may start to drift sideway but theoretically yes you could.
