Default New smog pump LOUD!!!
I just put in a new smog pump and its really loud. I know it said wait 500 miles for no noise but its ****ing rediculas. Has any body else delt with this. Its from autozone

i dont think you'll ever find anyone here who has deliberatly REPLACED a smog pump.

do they make the CEL go on?

i ran my car for codes and it came up with something about the AIR THERMACTOR. assuming this is the air pump? time to eliminate it?

Mine wasn't that loud when I replaced it, even though it had that warning thing on the new one. Make sure you didn't miss a hose or something.....
