Cant Pass 3k Rpm

Cant Pass 3k Rpm
Hey guys im asking this question again because tomorrow im taking my car to the mechanics to get my water pump changed.
When my car is cold i can go fully through the rpm range.
When my car is warm it will not pass 3k, it will surge very violently.
Things ive done.
tune-up, wires plugs cap rotor distributor, fuel injection cleaning service, fuel filter, iac cleaned, maf cleaned.
Im going to have the mech check my timing, what else should i tell him to look for to solve it?

alrighty sounds good. I had him like run the codes for free, and he saw that the egr sensor, atleast thats what he said, not valve, but sensor, was broken. He said there was a vacum leak he fixed a hose was lose or something. Either way, i did get the water pump fixed but uh, the 3k rpm problem is still there.
Im gonna take it back to them when i can afford it, and just tell them to find and solve the problem.
