ok..... new battery, new alternator, new capnrotor, new plugs/wires, new starter selonoid. car will start up fine, after it is turned off it will not start again for another couple of hours...... FUEL PUMP??? please help this sucks and if it is the fuel pump that is no big deal they are only like 60 but is a fuel pump conceivable to install myself?? and do they have a history of going out on our cars? the pump i have is the factory one from 88

ok the pump coming on would be like eeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrr for like 2 seconds right? and no i jus checked and ther is no eeeeerrrrrrrr sound so i guess i need a new pump eh?</P>

oh yah and what is the degree of difficulty of putting on a new fuel pump??? im pretty good with these cars in the no-brainer aspect so i just need to know if im going to be able to put on the fuel pump myself.

yes its easy, some bolt in by where your gas door is take them out for some movement , another bolt that holds the filler tube to the gas tank, undo the straps , elec connector and fuel line drop it down and towards the drv side it will slide out , the top is self explanitory with a metal peice that need to be turned counter clock , and the assembly comes out . good luck , i pretty sure i didnt leave anything out .

Befor I'd go to the trouble of changing the fuel pump, I be damn sure thats what it is. Check your fuel pump relay for proper operation (ie. its getting voltage, has continunity, and ground) and if you can get it started check the fuel pressure like TwilightBlue5.0

very true be sure , i never throw parts at a car ,be sure before u do anymore , i seen u have already thrown stuff at it </P>
