Cant find where my fuel pump is fed voltage from,pink power wire goes from pump in tank to pump on rear passanger frame,shutoff switch ok,cant locate fuse if there is one. need to get to work and have no running vehicle and live way out in woods,also does the pump run when you turn on the key and continuously run till key is shut off? can i run a hot wire on switch?please help, Thanx.

Wow it's been a while since i had my 86 GT...which is basically the same only with fuel injection...I'm having to read your message over and over again to think about what your saying and i think i have a better idea of it now....LOL sorry just got up...The hamster in my brain just started running...lol

But seriously did you contact the local auto parts store or dealership?...They should be able to tell you...Not being rude but i would think they could help. Let me break out my Chilton's book and i will try and get an answer for you in the next few hours..

WRONG! once the engine is running it runs continuously and the fuel pressure regulator by-passes excess fuel back to the gas tank.
not sure about the '84 but in my '88 there is a fuel pump relay mounted under the driver's seat which could have failed on you and that's why the pump wont' run. if it ain't there on the '84, I don't have a clue where they hid it, sorry.

Thanks guys ,found relay under seat hiding,yellow wire was broke. ON THE ROAD AGAIN,JUST COULDNT WAIT TO GET ON THE ROAD AGAIN:SECOND VERSE-----------------PEACE OUT

next time be more careful stashing stuff under the seat so you don't break the wires again! LOL
