Sandblasting Chrome wheels?
I didn't know where to ask this.. but it's kinda tech related... i guess. tomorrow i am trading my factory 10 holes away with good tires for 4 A.R.E 16 wheels with good tires... 2 16x8's and 2 16x10's. they are chrome and painted i guess (not sure of what model they are). I am really only getting them for the tires cause they come with 2 brand new bfg's (245/50/16's) and 2 half used kumhos(255/50/16's) to put on the back of my car with my ponies. The guy says that the chrome isstarting to rustand peal off.. same with the paint on them.. i was jsut wondering if sand blasting will take off chrome?.. cause if it will and i like the wheels then i will have them sand blasted and powder coated and use them instead of my ponies i got. sorry if this is the wrong section but i wasnt sure where to ask this. lol. thanks guys.

RE: Sandblasting Chrome wheels?
i sandblast alot at work with a pretty powerful sandblaster and it doesnt take off chrome. It will take the flaked parts off and alil around it but not the rest.
