Default voltage regulator?

I am putting some underdrive pullies on my 94 gt and upgrading the factory power wires(big 3 upgrade) as well. I do not have an impact wrench so I pulled the alternator and I am going to take it to a shop to get the pully removed. With almost 100k on my car now and the factory alt, i was wondering if it would be a good idea to swap out the brushes and voltage regulator on the alt while it was out as well?

Default RE: voltage regulator?

buy a new alt, its like 70 bucks or upgrade to the 130amp alt from the sn94 95. its not worth paying someone to rebuild an alt.
