I crossthreaded a bolt on the passenger side of the fuel rail. Didnt have anything to drill it out and retap at the time so i got creative. To make sure the injector stayed in, i used a zip tie to hold the rail down by threading it under/over the coolant lines next to it. It stayed without the zip but i figued it wouldnt hurt.

Zip tie or the rail hasnt moved in 2 years.

Edit - when i say crossthreaded i meant it snapped the head off, flush with the bolt hole.

I don't know how smart that is...hope you can get out quickly when that fails and sprays a nice mist of gas on the exhoust manifold/header....

take it out again and check the o-rings for damage, and check for something stuck in the rail port. the pressure is pushing past the designed functionality of the rail, so something is broken or not cleaned properly.
