you know onyx, i think its safe to say, that won't even get ya a break haha. Here in WV, you are suppose to have cats but I dont see one of our local cops taking the time to lay on the ground to take a peek..

The reality is, it's really difficult to tell what someone is running. First you have to either get a mirror pr crawl on the ground and look underneath. And that is assuming that the cop would even know about cats. it's not a very popular / widely known law. Sure, you know it if you mess around with engines, but most people I know (and quit a few cops I know) honestly wouldn't know what one was or where to find it. It's one of those really minor things.

Even if you did know and could look and could see them, there's no easy way to tell if they have been hollowed out or not. And you can't go by "sound" or write them for the exhaust because it's only illegal hereif the exhaust is over 95dB.

Basically, it's too much of a hassle for the average traffic cop. There are plenty of other things they check out instead... registration, inspection, speed, insurance, etc...

i purchased the 40 series catback system and i think it sounds quite loud

i'm running stock heads and stock h pipe

but not for long! got myself soem ford racing shorty headers with an offroad h pipe

she's gonna scream now
