thats a capacitor, its generally used to either filter current or to store energy and release it when needed. in that case its a filter. you can get another from radio shack and solder it back on. i doubt its the cause of your idle problems.
as far as eec's go it works like i have below. they both respond well to changes, the A9L is concidered superior in high hp applications where a manual is used, not in automatics.
A9P is mass air, manual or automatic.
A9L is mass air manual only.

you need to resize the pic, its to big and ***'s the page up. keep it as a link if you cant resize. it helps the 56kers in this world.

You wont need a new computer for that! take it to radio shack or something and have them match the part, and if your too dumb to solder it back on take it any highschool electronic class and get them to do it. Easy as pie.

so i get the ecm to a technician to replace the capacitors and the chip and guess what? its having more issues!! now it feels like is not gettin enough gas...i`m gettin kind of tired of my car, i guess the best thing will be let the car on the garage for a while before i throw it to a river
