Default Coolant Leak - Noob

I just picked up a 5.0 and have a coolant leak already thanks to the place that balanced my tires. Anyway I believe it may be from the heater core but there is a line covered with coolant below the vehicle.

I have no coolant in the car right now and just wanted to know how much to put in, since I don't have owners manual. Also which place do I put the coolant in? I'm assuming the one cap that says coolant and has the sensor is an overflow or do I put in directly in the radiator.

Help this newb out.

Dave

hehehe, im assuming you dont have alot of experience with working on cars so.....

if theres no coolant then place your water hose all the way in thru the radiator, let it fill and overfill, if the water is not clear keep it there for abit, where is the line that is covered in coolant? the heater core is under the dash so if that leaks t would leak inside the cabin.

I actually am going to correct myself, there is not a visible leak now...

I do believe I am out of coolant so what steps do I take to assure this and do I just do 50/50 coolant and water when filling her back up? I just fill it up until it is full correct?

What he's trying to say is water just dont evaporate ove a couple of hours. Put a hose in the radiator and fill it up start your car then see if you can find out where it is leaking from. Because the water is going somewhere,If its not leaking on the ground or inside your car on the floor and it runs out again.Look for some nestle quik in you oil.
