My cooling system is stock, and performs perfectly even in 100 degree+ weather. I think Ford did a great job with the oem setup. Oddly, my carseems to runcooler in traffic than it does while driving, as measured on my Autometer temp gauge. I guess that fan does it's job well. Given, my entire cooling system is only like a year old...all stock though.
strangely enough mine does too.. My car will heat up while driving, and cool down while idling, which seems backwards to me.

Seems backwards to me too. I bet it has something to do with our cars being bottom-feeders...in terms of airflow through the radiator. GT radiatorsonly get air through a small section of the front end while driving...and the A/C condensor is mostly blocking that opening. That giant fan might just do a better job on its own.
