Melting #5 Plug with Nitrous????

RE: Melting #5 Plug with Nitrous????
I'm using the one that comes with the Zex kit (mixes fuel/nitrous at the end of the nozzle). I have it mounted about 8-10" before the throttle body. I thought of the possibility of all the juice somehow shooting to that one cylinder, but I would think that, especially with the trick flow intake, there wouldn't be a problem with that.

Although some people do manage to run big shots of nitrous on stock pumps, you can never assume that one pump is in the exact same condition as the other. Start by upgrading your pump, and if you are still having an issue, you should look into buying a set of SN-95 fuel rails. It was a common problem on the 351w trucks that the #5 cylinder (last one, furthest away from the feed of fuel) would run lean and almost always kill the engine. The reason for this was excessive debris build up in the end of the rail, causing an obstruction in the fuel flow path.
take it for what its worth, but ignition isnt your issue... fuel is!

The rails on my stang though cross at the front of the motor. The crossover meets right after the #5 injector, so technically the #8 injector is the furthest away, unless there isn't enough pressure to run back up the rail to the #5.....
